16 Dec Types of Certified Translation Explained
Do you ever come across an educational post from Tumblr and scream in frustration because you never saw it when you were at school? You aren’t the only one. For many people, the solutions come to them a bit too late. They can do nothing about it than being angry at how unfair life is. People born before the cellphone era probably feel bad about the fact that they have no digital pictures. Sure, you can scan the images and put them in the computer but obviously no one was taking a hundred photo a day with a Kodak. Kids who grew up watching Blockbuster video feel bad that Netflix wasn’t around in their childhood. They think that the children of today have way too many options, which isn’t wrong, but then again it could be something the kids of today will complain about tomorrow.
However, there is no denying the fact that sometimes in life, we really come across an information a little too late, and in that moment, all we can say is, “where were you when I needed you”? Some people suffer an injury but get the wrong treatment because it was their first experience with the healthcare industry and they didn’t know any better. Almost everyone messes up on their first day of their first job because they have no idea how things work. Maybe they will learn about company politics later and wish they knew better when they started, but obviously they can’t change their past. It is frustrating how many such moments of frustration we have to face in life. But if it weren’t for such moments, we really wouldn’t learn anything at all.
It is the blunders that teach us to be more careful next time. It is the mistakes that motivate us to learn and get better at making decisions. A lot of things you know today are all thanks to the mistakes you made. However, there are still a few things that you can learn about before making a mistake. These are the things that you need in professional life and everybody knows that there is hardly any room for mistakes there. So, if your boss tells you to find a law firm for handling legal issues for the company, you must do as much research as you can before you hand over the name of the best firm. It is the same when it comes to language services.
What is Certified Translation?
There are many things in the world which are pretty important for our survival but if we are to continue to live together on this earth, there is nothing more valuable than translation. It connects us and helps us understand each other. Without it, there would be a war every other week. But with it, things seem to be working for us. However, interpretation is not only here to help countries communicate. It has various purposes. Its most important kind is the certified translation which is known for its accuracy and therefore the only type that is accepted by government offices.
Whether you are applying for a visa or an immigration, you will need this type of interpretation of your documents. You will also need it when you are applying for admission in a foreign university. Businesses also require certified translations from time to time because of their authenticity.
Types of Certified Translation Explained in Details:
Many people are confused about certified language services. They don’t know if there are different types and who to turn to if they need one. Add that to the fact that it is required only in high stakes situation. All of this puts a lot of pressure on people and their wish to know all about this interpretation and its types. Here are the three types of certified translation and their explanation:
- Standard Certified Translation:
This is the basic type and is acceptable in most cases. Any time a government body asks for a translation, this is the type they are referring to. A qualified and experienced translator can handle this translation. Once they are done working, they will write a statement on a piece of paper saying that the translation is accurate and true to the original document. They will sign the statement, add the date of the interpretation, and write their name and contact details at the bottom of the file. This statement will be attached to the translation and verify its status.
In this type, the translator will have to appear before a notary public and get the statement certified by them. The notary will stamp the statement and that will add to the value of the document. This is mostly required by certain countries’ institutions.
- Sworn Translation:
In some countries, people apply to be vetted by a court, and once that happens, they become sworn translators. In the countries where this is practiced, only the certified translations of sworn translators are legally recognized. All other interpretations are not recognized by any court in the country.
In most states, any qualified translator can handle the task of interpreting a document, but in other countries, the situation is different. In any case, you can find the right professional to handle your paper whenever you are in need of a certified translation because language services are highly in demand. So, you can rest assured that there will always be people helping individuals connect with others regardless of the language differences.
